The Method

The Earthly Life Breath Method™

A trauma-informed breathwork practice built on four movements — regulation, release, integration, practice.

01

Regulation

Breath patterns that shift the nervous system from survival into safety.

02

Release

Somatic release for what the body has been holding — without re-traumatising.

03

Integration

Rest, reflection and reverence. What was moved gets metabolised.

04

Practice

Daily breath as a way of living, not an intervention.

Scientific Foundation

Where the vagus nerve meets ancient practice.

Breath is the fastest input to the autonomic nervous system. Slow, extended exhales activate the parasympathetic branch. Deep connected breathing releases what talk therapy alone often can't reach. The evidence base — HRV, cortisol, PSS-10, WHO-5 — is real.

Safety & Contraindications

  • Severe cardiovascular disease
  • Uncontrolled epilepsy

  • Active psychosis or bipolar in an acute phase

FAQ

Questions.

What is breathwork?+

Breathwork is the intentional use of breath patterns to regulate the nervous system, move stored emotion, and change state — safely and repeatably.

Is it safe?+

Yes, when practised trauma-informed. Certain conditions require modifications — see Safety & Contraindications below and always disclose your history in an intake.

How is this different from yoga or meditation?+

Breath is the method. Movement and stillness are tools that serve it — not the other way around.

Practice, not theory.
